Great except the rod to hang from is useless

This is my third order of this hardware. It's exactly what I need EXCEPT the rod that the door hangs from is the width of the door. This makes no sense because there's no way to actually slide the door. The rod needs to be twice as long! We ended up having find a local metal shop and have a rod custom made so it's long enough for a door to not only hang from but can be slid to the side to access the closet.
