I bought a similar tool from NAPA. With what I consider to be reasonable torque, the clamp does not close tight enough around the pipe for the hex socket to be threaded onto the nipple. Can't say it wouldn't work with more torque as I didn't push it to the limit. I can say that it didn't look very promising. Even if more torque would work, you would use a wrench with one hand to keep the 2" base from turning with the other. bad physics. kinda useless for working under the car. That's why I got it. So, 1star.YMMV.
