Firstly if keeping warm is a must I would recommend a shaving bowl or mug over it. It's not a terrible bowl, to be honest. The bottom rubber part seems to be covered in tree sap (worst glue ever) so those with sinks/shelves that get scratched easily can take some good glue and re-stick it. I just ripped it off, as did the other reviewers. This bowl foams well and has a lot of space and also looks very nice. It does its job very well and the lips are shaped in such a way that splashes are not a problem. This is a great starter bowl and a good size. It just doesn't hold the heat of water well when placed in a sink, which is what I thought. As mentioned earlier, if you're not a lover of hot straight razors, buy one. You will not be disappointed. All in all a great product and highly recommended if it suits your needs. For my rating 8/10
