I'm looking for a great countersink for woodworking. Haven't found it yet, but this one is good. First I tried a cheap DeWalt combo bit set + adjustable countersink. Garbage. They wobbled and teeth broke after a dozen uses on plywood. Now I've resigned myself to only using special countersinks. This Bosch countersink is certainly strong and durable, doesn't wobble and feels well made, but the results aren't very polished. On plywood, the hole is not smooth - it seems that a "faceted” circle is obtained, which surprised me. Apparently some people call it "chatter". And the top edge of the countersink was often not clean—sometimes the veneer fibers stuck out around the hole like fluff. But I will say that this countersink is relatively easy to control - it doesn't suddenly dive into the wood. like so often DeWalt. It's easy to make consistent countersinks with slow, steady pressure. Next I will try counter through hole sinks.
