Review on Topeak Modula Waterbottle Cage 2: The Ultimate Adjustable Solution for Your Cycling Adventures by Pavel Craig

I got this bottle cage to replace my standard boring perfectly working bottle cage. I've never been wrong with Topeak so I settled on this one: I have a 24oz Hydro Flask that is 2.5" diameter, I figured I could swap it out for a larger one and it would fit. Wrong. Luckily I have I didn't buy a big bottle: this one barely fits!I don't know, the friction between the materials, the rubber on the cage and the matt powder coated stainless steel on the bottle, but even with the cage fully open (where to put the biggest bottles) , it's almost impossible to get the bottle in or out. It even damaged the durable paint on my Hydro Flask bottle - you know what I'm talking about if you own or have ever touched Hydro Flask - that paint cannot be damaged. I have dropped my bottle dozens of times and left no scratches, I've used my bottle maybe half a dozen times on a Topeak Modula cage and it's already scratched. Maybe this cage works well with plastic bottles - I'll try a Polar bottle and edit my review - but I like it when my water is cold and plastic bottles just don't work.
