I bought this portable Lepow monitor because I needed an extra monitor when I was moving from place to place looking at stock charts for productivity. At home I have a huge ultra-wide monitor for work, and when I'm on the road the regular 13-inch MacBook Pro screen just can't handle it. A little extra screen real estate goes a long way. This Lepow monitor was a nice surprise, its big 15.6 inch screen is big and actually quite portable (you can put it in your laptop bag or backpack and it replaces a large iPad). Normally a 1080P display can be difficult to view stocks or images with more detail and you'll yearn for a 4k monitor, but it actually did a great job - just don't expect 4k clarity. As soon as I got the portable monitor, I threw all the electronics I had at it to see if it lived up to the claims. He handled everything very smoothly. When you first open the product you will realize that it takes some cues from Apple and is a white box that feels quite luxurious. It comes with a magnetic case, the magnetic case isn't the best case but it helps. There's something about magnets that makes you feel like they can pop off instantly if you're not careful, and it's also counterintuitive to get up at different angles, but once you figure out how to get up, it works it great. It's a free case so can't complain about that, it also comes with a screen protector which I'm horrible to put on so I gave up and didn't use it. But then again, it's a nice fact in itself that you got all these accessories in the kit. What I really liked about this product is that it comes with all the cables you need to connect most of your devices without paying extra or buying them separately. It comes with an HDMI-mini-HDMI connector, making it ready for plug-and-play with most of your devices, a USB-C cable, and a USB-C to USB-A power cable with power adapter . The screen is big and beautiful, it's thin so you can take it anywhere. It does everything you want at a very affordable price compared to other brands. It's hard to justify the high cost of a portable monitor as it can be expensive, this was the cheapest that did everything I wanted and the cons were minor. The speakers are my biggest issue with this, there doesn't seem to be any difference between 50% volume and 100% volume (sounds the same, quiet and not at all reliable). However, most monitors and even modern TVs don't have great speakers, making products more affordable for retailers. Luckily it has an extra port that allows me to easily connect it to my portable or home speaker. My main goal was to connect it to my laptop. My 13" Macbook Pro worked flawlessly via USB-C, I didn't need any additional ports to power the monitor. A USB-C connection from the MacBook to the monitor was enough to start the Mac and turn on the display, which is great! This created my dual monitor setup that I wanted with as few cables as possible, making it more versatile and less awkward when I'm out in public like at a coffee shop. The manual states that you generally don't need to connect the monitor to a power source unless your device powers it. It takes very little wattage to display properly, since your electronics aren't powerful enough to power the monitor itself, you can turn it on by plugging it into an outlet with the cords they give you , or you can use a standard external power supply. I have tried several low output power banks that I use to charge my iPhone on the go and they have worked flawlessly. It's useful when you're on the go to watch a movie together or play games on the big screen. you can connect everything to that. I had my old classic Super Nintendo lying around that I hardly ever use, so I immediately plugged it in and within the next few hours started playing Super Mario and Street Fighter II Turbo. It breathed new life into my old gaming systems that I had no connection to. I always take it with me when my friends and I want to play Contra III or Street Fighter together and we meet for a beer at an outdoor brewery or campground. My Nintendo Switch worked via USB C but needed some power for the monitor. If you have a powerful enough power bank, I believe it supports pass-through charging to charge your Nintendo Switch at the same time. Not sure if this is a feature, but I've seen it charge my Switch and even my laptop when connected to my more powerful power banks. I also connected it to my iPad Pro and it worked too. Overall I have no particular complaints about the Lepow monitor, it was great as soon as I turned it on and it breathed extra life into my electronics. I can't wait to take it with me on a trip, it does all the essentials brilliantly, with few flaws and at an affordable price. After showing my buddies some pics of usage and now they want it.
