07/11/2020 - The review was originally written on my phone which had all sorts of typos, so I've edited it for better understanding. I don't really understand any of the negative reviews as this monitor is fantastic with some tolerable quirks. I'm comparing this to my old ASUS MB169B+ IPS (2016) that I've had for the past few years. Attached images Asus on the left, Lepow on the right. The Lepow is slightly smaller, with a metal alloy body which I think automatically makes it a little more durable to withstand the inevitable abuses of portability. The case/stand for it is magnetic which is awesome. If you're familiar with iPad Pro cases, you'll love these. Although I doubt its overall durability... time will tell. My Asus has a plastic case, and the sometimes excessive pressure my backpack experiences when traveling causes a slight bleed to appear in the top right corner of the power button. Both are 1080p with a matte screen and there's a case for some level of screen protection. The Asus case is cumbersome, deforms easily and you have to rely on Velcro straps to keep it in place - I ended up buying a tablet holder from Anker to replace the stand. Keep using the case for extra protection, but pull out the tablet holder to install it. PRO by Lepow - Plug and play with stunning resolution - Same 15.6" display in a smaller footprint. Always a plus for portability - Metal body = increased durability - Comes with screen protector and screen protector kit, necessary cables, power adapter and case - Display on screen! Yes! Now I can adjust brightness/contrast and color temperature. A big plus compared to the Asus left and right speakers is a cool feature, but it's underwhelming in overall sound quality, but it's there when you want/need to use it, and the volume can be adjusted in the OSD. - Functions with iPad Pro (2020) at work when I need to mirror my display. Asus not. CONS Lepow are more tolerable quirks than cons - those who don't have a fully functional USB-C will need to use the power cord to power the monitor. - If you don't have USB-C, you'll need to use HDMI and use a power cord to make it work - Operating the OSD is awkward, but not unbearable - Can't use a USB 3.0 adapter or USB 3.0 to Type-C cable get work. For example it works fine with my laptop but if I want to use it on my PC I haven't figured it out yet. However, it works with my computer at work. but I have to use a workaround for the PSU by plugging it into the PSU, which is aesthetically not right...- Which brings me to the power cord - it's too short! I mean seriously specify the function length, so if you need to use it from the table, it can reach the outlet. If you want to rotate the screen the functionality is there, but if you need to use both forks there's one for the screen and the other. Power supply, prepare for an assistant to hold the monitor as it is not working. EDIT 7/11/2020: Actually found that USB-C power delivery works on both sides of the monitor so you can actually rotate the screen, but the cable sticking out of the top 1.5" monitor is still aesthetic appealing. The bottom line is if I had the money I would definitely buy another one for the right pair! This is a full-featured portable monitor for about half the price of others. 7/11/2020 - Full Disclosure - I wish I had done more homework for not going for a "full featured" USB-C version. Then it would be easier to switch from laptop portability to using it as a secondary monitor with my PC that doesn't have more modern plug-ins like HDMI and USB-C. Suggestions for Lepow: - Pro cords with rectangular inserts. This would cut the overall profile from 1.5" to ½" (half) which would be a huge improvement. - Seriously - give the power cord a longer one!
