The specification says "Requires 3 Li-ion batteries (included)." . This is not a problem. I only have a few AA, AAA, and 9V lithium rechargeable batteries, so having spare batteries that can be charged separately and carried around as a backup is more of a wish list. Pros: The device is compact and weighs less than a pound. The hose has clamp connectors on both ends for easy attachment. The digital display is easy to read. Pressure is strong for inflating car and motorcycle tires in the 30-50psi range. "C" connector. Instructions are clearly written, with photos. Cons: (It's ok, just need to know) Recessed air outlet from the unit, you may need to pry slightly with a screwdriver to connect the hose. 12V plug does not charge the device. Only the USB cable charges it. A USB power adapter for the USB cable is not included. Requires cool down after 10 minute run.
