This is an example of a good idea that still needs some modifications to be fully implemented. I use a My K-Cup reusable filter and was looking for a funnel-like tool to pour my coffee into a tiny pod. I thought that was the answer and it's close but not quite there. It has a scoop on one side and a funnel on the other that can be turned around. Once you have scooped the coffee, you need to turn it over and use the funnel to pour the coffee into the pod, but the side of the funnel doesn't stay closed. You have to hold it securely with your hand when pouring, which makes it difficult to pour without spilling the coffee grounds. Also, it's not really designed to extract coffee from bags as it's difficult to get it into the bag. Please note that the packaging is very difficult to open. This is a hard plastic that is difficult to cut, so watch out for very sharp edges. Addendum: After my review was posted, the company contacted me to make sure I was happy. You seem to have picked up my opinions and ideas, including my suggestion of putting a C-shaped metal slip ring on the handle to keep the ladle closed while pouring. Also, I suggested a color other than black because the coffee is also black, making it difficult to tell how much coffee you've scooped. I was impressed with the customer service and as with any product this is very important.
