Not as difficult to install. Replaced a 1998 Teleflex with this (Teleflex and SeaStar are now the same company) and WOW what an improvement! The hardest part of my application was having to remove the motor from the transom to swap out the cables (not enough room to remove the fixed part of the sliding shaft from the end of the motor) but the old one came right out and this one is direct slipped in. Overall a pretty easy project and now the kids can steer the boat and you don't need to be a weight lifter to master the rudder. Should have done it ten years ago! The price was right. Called all over town to get one, everyone was out of supplies and one 100 miles away wanted almost double what I paid for that one.
