I know my phone also tells the time, but I'm not the type to walk around with my face on my phone. Actually I love looking around, enjoying the sun, seeing the blue sky, seeing who is walking around/next to me and even if they have their faces on their phones at least I'm here now (mindfulness how it called these days ), and when I need to know what time it is, I can bend down and pick up this watch's carabiner and see it quickly. I love the look and it's nice to carry in my purse to take with me on the go. If I happen to plan a hike and hit the trails, I take that with me so I know when to turn back (let's say I want to walk an hour - thirty minutes there, thirty minutes back). Worth it for me!
