Review on Kenda Tektro Service Kit Am by Mike Goodwin

To be honest I only bought this kit for olives and Tektro inserts as I already have a bleed kit - buying the parts individually costs the same as this kit. However, I decided to give this set a try. The first bleed (rear brakes) was smooth and I really liked the smooth action of the splash - much less effort to dive in. On the second pump (front), however, the damn hose blew oil right there! Apparently the hose is NOT compatible with mineral oil and will expand. It no longer fits exactly on the drain nipple and the syringe. After replacing the hose with one from my other set I was able to finish the bleed but after that I had a lot of work to remove the oil. especially with rotors. The kit would have been fine if the hoses that came with it weren't crap. Oh one more problem, the description says it comes with 4 sets of olives and inserts - WRONG! - only 2 sentences. I'm keeping the syringe and Tektro tips in my kit because I really like them, but I've since thrown away the tubing.
