Review on Danco 36108E Dishwasher Adapter Threaded by Lance Story

Fits snap adapter on old Danby DDW1805W portable dishwasher

I was a little worried it would be difficult to find the right adapter for this old Danby portable dishwasher, model DDW1805W, I'm used to cheap too be, but this fits perfectly. The Danco adapter has screw markings on the inside and outside of the head for attaching male or female tap heads. In my case, I found that my faucet required a 55/64-27 socket, so I pulled one of the rubber washers (I'm not sure what the word meant for this piece of rubber) from the Danco adapter, screwed it on and snapped at it. My dishwasher adapter fits exactly on it. There were no leaks at all, although I should probably use teflon tubing around the faucet head to protect it from future leaks. The newer Danby portables seem to have the same snap-on adapter heads (as the SPT portables) so I think this thing will work for them, but I can only speak for the model I have. Danco does not have an aerator. So the water flow is a bit erratic when I use a faucet instead of a dishwasher, but I've read that some adapters you can get with aerators are more prone to leaking, and I didn't want to limit the water supply to the dishwasher either. Losing an aerator is a small sacrifice for the pleasure of finally having a dishwasher in your rental.
