These injectors/splitters worked as expected. Note that unlike active injector/splitter pairs, these passive devices transfer current with the voltage applied to the injector, causing a long Ethernet cable to experience excessive voltage drop if it draws more than a few hundred milliamps . For example, 500 mA applied over a 100 foot 24 AWG ethernet cable will cause a 1.25 V drop, which probably wouldn't be acceptable for a 5 V device. For short cable runs or low current loads, these will work passive devices however good .
