They are definitely different and I get asked a lot where I got them from. For the most part they block the camera well, but are slightly longer for the new tiny bezels on most devices. To compensate, you'll want it to sit high so as not to block a small portion of the screen. Using it on a device with a screen protector will damage the screen protector. I was able to slightly modify one with a dremel to cut the cut from the bottom edge so it could sit fully on my surface pro and trimmed the edges slightly to avoid damaging the screen protector. Overall managed to get it working with little effort. So if you're willing and have a few minutes to change it, it works well for smaller devices.
