Be careful when changing blades

Quarantine made me want to make something from styrene from scratch and it was probably the best $10 I've spent on a hobby. I originally chose one to use the exacto blade without losing the cap like I always do and I haven't looked back since. Admittedly, since the Exacto's handle has a really good grip, it's not the most comfortable thing to hold. over long periods of time. It also doesn't roll on me and the retracted blade is very reassuring, especially when my cat likes to jump on my work station. It's also not exactly comfortable for left-handers - changing the blade orientation doesn't work (at least in my experience) and the indent function is on the side opposite the thumb. This isn't a deal breaker though, just something to keep in mind for other left-handers looking for a hobby knife. However, be careful when changing blades. Other reviewers mention that the blade protrudes a bit from the rest of the build when the front cover is off, so watch your fingers. Again, this isn't a deal breaker, just another thing to be careful about. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great hobby knife, but be careful when changing blades.

Pros
  • Art Knives & Blades
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
