I really think they are similar to the yellow Playtex (Playtex Handsaver) in terms of thickness and durability. They are not as thick and long as the purple Playtex (Playtex Living) gloves which were my favorite. But If You Care are made from natural rubber, fairly traded and sustainably sourced. I have tried True Blues, they are long lasting and thick. However, True Blues are vinyl and difficult to clean. It's almost impossible to turn True Blues inside out so they don't dry out completely and stink. Not to mention that vinyl is terribly bad for the environment. To be honest my first experience with If You Care gloves was very disappointing. I usually wear a medium sized product but when I used this brand's medium sized product it was so hard to pull it off and it kept rolling off while I was washing the dishes. So this time I took the big ones and although they are a little baggy in the hand they are easy to take off. The only annoying thing is that 1/3 of the time I have to put the cuff back on one of my gloves because it falls off easily and keeps folding towards my fingers as I work. Therefore it loses a star. But I don't care, so I'll stick with them as long as they're not ridiculously expensive like they sometimes are.
