Review on Acer XV272U Xbmiipruzx Splendor Display - 1440p Agile Gaming Monitor by Black Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good monitor - my new test report

Received this after trying a cheap 144Hz VA 1440p monitor with horrible ghosting. The biggest plus of this monitor is definitely the IPS screen. Virtually no halos or artifacts, bright with richer colors. The transition from 144Hz to 240Hz isn't as dramatic as from 60Hz to 144Hz, but your eyes can still see it. I had my device repaired (probably for a return) but it had no defects or cosmetic issues (from what I can see). Pros: + IPS has no ghosting even at 240Hz. + HDR can be used and colors are accurate/saturated. +240Hz, refresh rate up to 270Hz, which is more than your GPU can handle in anything but Minecraft or old games. + 27 inch screen has a very high pixel density, so at an average distance (2-3 feet) you cannot see individual pixels. + 4 USB 3.0 ports for charging. I can't figure out how to connect it to my PC + Dedicated buttons Power and menus There's a little "nipple" widget for navigation, but I appreciate the real buttons that are here.? He has speakers. They're not very good, but when you need something, they're there. Cons: - The IPS display is bright so not good if you use it in the dark. - Only one DP port. There are two HDMI, but the frequency does not exceed 72 Hz.? If you have poor eyesight, 1440p makes text and other things smaller, making it harder to read. You can play around with the operating system installation. However, some things are hardcoded for 1080p and look too small on screen. If you don't want to spend 600-800€ for it, I recommend the 144Hz version, which is definitely worth the price.

Pros
  • flicker free
Cons
  • Monitor colors are washed out.
