The pump was purchased as an exact replacement. Insert the key into the pump and slide it onto the 3/4" shaft. She turned on the water and returned to the pressure washer to see the water flow out first from the part of the pump containing the chemical sucking from the soap/chemical tank I was concerned but I pulled the trigger on the spray gun to release the pressure and then ran the pressure washer to see if it would stop and it would stop and not stop again .The pump seems to be of good quality and produces great pressure so for the moment I am very satisfied.For that price I can buy another one because I believe they are rated for 250-300 hours and take the risk repairing one myself costs about $75 in parts flows again It's possible I received a defective pump which I will be returning in a timely manner.
