Review on GE 3-Outlet Extender Wall Tap: Grounded Adapter Plug, Indoor Rated, 3-Prong, Perfect for Travel - UL Listed, White (52203) by Kevin Carey

These adapters came in a box marked GE although that brand is not on the adapter itself. They feel good and have a UL hologram sticker. What I don't understand is why they are so wide. I measured the slot spacing with a digital caliper and they were 1mm wider than my Leviton adapters so basically the same. However, the entire adapter is almost half an inch wider than Leviton's. Since I can't get more space between the forks, I don't understand why the entire fork is so much wider. I ended up placing them in inconspicuous places just because they are wider than the lid. Find out. I would feel more comfortable if they had the GE label on the adapter instead of on the box. They are similar in construction to the Leviton and slightly heavier, probably due to their greater width. Generally they do their job. They fit snugly into a good outlet. Perhaps the extra width helps with weight distribution when working with large diameter transformers or forks. Let's see if the price is right 👍
