The color convinced me!
I've always used a wired probe thermometer for cooking and have resisted buying this type of probe (I'm a bit clumsy and afraid of getting burned etc.). I must admit I was very impressed that I can change the angle of the probe and it is very sharp making it very easy to pierce the cooked meat.
