If transistor radios had existed in the 1930s they would look something like this. Surprisingly, it has a good tuner capable of picking up fairly weak stations. And the reason you can find them is because it's an old-fashioned analogue watch face where you manually scroll through the bars. (Unlike modern digital tuning, which mutes everything below a certain signal strength.) So it's fun to explore the AM and FM bands on your own terms. You also get real wood, a pair of LEDs, and a nice backlit orange dial. Its shape is too bulky to pocket and take to the game, but if you don't have a good analogue tuner at home it's a good compact way to rediscover radio.
