Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Quintessentialz Custom Design Chain Guide MTB Tensioner by Brian Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best value, easy installation

I purchased this Quintessentialz mountain bike chain guide as part of my bike conversion from 3x10 drivetrain to 1x10 drivetrain. I use this with a narrow wide oval 32t chainring and have kept the same 10 speed chain and rear derailleur. The SRAM X7 rear derailleur probably has enough tension that I don't have to worry about it not having a clutch, but it seemed like a good idea to add a guide to avoid chain slap. Sure, there are nicer chain guides out there, but all the other options will set you back five times as much, if not more. This works great, comes with an interchangeable frame, is made in the USA and for the price doesn't compare to any of the similar style guides I've found at Revain. Plus, you don't have to break the chain to attach it or change the lead on the mount. Two zip ties were also included to attach it to the chain. So far it's also holding tight over the chainstay guard.
