I think it works. but it didn't work for me. I've seen many other reviews of people using this to connect their old consoles to monitors/tvs, but. I guess I'm unlucky there. The goal was to use this to get around the processing latency on HDMI and the component used on my HDTV. The TV doesn't have a "game" mode and VGA doesn't process the signal at all. I tried my TV and two monitors. Only one of the monitors could see a signal and all I got was a very green tinge. You'll either have to try PS2 to HDMI and then HDMI to VGA, or get a box that converts YPbPr to VGA. JUST FOR UNDERSTANDING: The product itself probably does what it was designed to do (VGA > Comp) but didn't work the other way around for me (Comp > VGA).
