Works great even up to

I use this to connect an old PS2 to my TV's VGA port. You just have to go into the TV settings and tell it to use component instead of RGB. Works great, even up to 1080i

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works for component input on LG TVs

I have an odd LG TV with a 15 pin connector for component, RGB and composite video inputs and was able to use the adapter I had for the component input needed, not find. I took a chance and bought it and it works!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Appearance

Worked great with my Analogue NT Mini Noir

Bought to use with my Analogue NT Mini Noir (a modern day Nintendo NES/Famicom clone console) which I connect to a CRT via component input Wanted to connect TV YPbPr Works great would recommend to anyone wanting to use their NT Mini Noir on a CRT with component input!

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Update available

above and above: A/V Accessory

is exactly what I needed, although I didn't realize it was the wrong direction (HD15 to RCA) until I unboxed it, but it still works great ! I take the component that feeds from my record monitor/amp and it goes straight to the projector and now my son can play any Consul he wants without a lot of wires!

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Frequency

Operation Errors Best in Audio & Video Accessories

So I spent three days trying to get this to work. Then I found that I associate blue with green and vice versa. Reconnected and now works like a charm. Classic operator error. I fired myself. But I'm compassionate, so I tuned in again. Also taught me how to use the flash when working in dark places. A Panasonic HT component (that's the old one, no HDMI) is connected to an Acer projector. A very happy camper.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Some Errors

Didn't meet my needs, but don't know if it's the cable.

It didn't suit me. I have a monitor that claims to be compatible but doesn't have component jacks (it does have VGA). I was hoping this would allow me to connect my Playstation 2 to this monitor via component rather than composite inputs. It did not work. I can't fault the cable though as it was an experimental use of the cable/monitor setup.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Modern

Didn't work for me: Accessories and consumables

I think it works. but it didn't work for me. I've seen many other reviews of people using this to connect their old consoles to monitors/tvs, but. I guess I'm unlucky there. The goal was to use this to get around the processing latency on HDMI and the component used on my HDTV. The TV doesn't have a "game" mode and VGA doesn't process the signal at all. I tried my TV and two monitors. Only one of the monitors could see a signal and all I got was a very green tinge. You'll either have to try PS2

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Adapter, not a converter.

You should know that this is an adapter and does not convert anything. This adapter lets you connect a component cable to the VGA port on your TV or projector. However, the VGA connector on the TV or projector must have component pins among the 15 pins of the input connector. This is not always the case, so you should have this confirmed in the device manual. I bought this adapter and it works great on my TV. I have a Seagate FreeAgent+ input device, but it could also be a DVD player with a…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Without machine

This product does NOT convert video - it only allows you to connect a component video output to a VGA input. The PC monitor will think it's receiving a normal RGB signal, but you'll be sending it a YPbPr signal, causing the GREEN image that the other two reviewers complained about. However, if you're using it with home theater equipment and NOT a PC monitor, it will likely work just fine. However, to use this with a PC monitor, for example to connect an Xbox to a computer monitor, you will need

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No Instructions
