I love this blender

I love this blender! My old blender was a very good Cuisinart but didn't work well with smoothies. I would chop up any hard foods like carrots, ginger roots, etc. for him. I also add frozen foods like frozen bananas, blueberries, or strawberries to my smoothies. An old blender will work hard, you can hear that. I was afraid it would end up burning and the smoothies came out with small chunks of tougher veggies. With this vitamin, I don't even have to cut much. I'll probably break a carrot in half, but I can just throw in a piece of ginger, add any other fruit or veg, including a slice of lime with the zest on it, and turn up the blender's power. I start low, twist the knob up, and then push the lever all the way up. It sounds almost like starting a jet engine, much quieter of course, but with the same power. The smoothie is silky smooth and the blender doesn't bother at all. This is a beautiful and delicious thing. As a plus, this blender even heats the food you put in it through friction, so you can cook soups. I chose this model with a tall, skinny jar because I've seen tests showing that the shorter, wider jars in all blenders create a lot more turbulence and thus contain more air, thinning the texture of the smoothie a bit . The only problem for some (and I already knew, so I was ready) is that the blender probably won't fit on the counter under the overhead cabinet. I just keep it in a container next to the engine.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says
