I love this blender: Table Blenders

I've spoken to many vegan chefs and they all recommended this blender but at first I wasn't sure as the price is too high and I thought I don't need a high quality one Mixer. I decided to give it a try and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's an investment. The first soup I made in this blender was delicious, no pulp, no chunks, just a creamy soup. He's been great in every recipe I've tried. On my previous one I had to add more water as the blender wasn't…

Extremely dangerous!

Exploded at my newborn granddaughter! Absolutely unbelievable! My sister-in-law kept my week-old granddaughter in her front pocket and made a smoothie with raspberries, blackberries, beets, blueberries, spinach and kefir. After successfully blending these ingredients and drinking half a glass, she decided the drink wasn't sweet enough, so she added a sliced apple to sweeten it. When mixing the apple, a splinter suddenly flew out of the bottom of the pot! I'm not talking about an explosion from…

Doesn't meet standards

As mentioned in another recent review, the Vitamix doesn't seem to be what it used to be. My old oyster was dying; I borrowed a Vitamix from a friend to see if I liked it. The biggest problem with this Vitamix model was that making smoothies required me to do more at once than I normally want to do. This device is 5 years old. I bought it on October 1st; The idea was that it had a smaller blade base so I could make smaller smoothie portions. All the smoothies I've made with it have been slices.

Ah-MaZ-iNg!: Kitchen & Dining

I need more than 5 stars! Just made my first smoothie and found that the ones I've made so far have been a joke compared to this one, everything (including the spinach) was blended so perfectly it's like sipping on delicious liquid velvet. I also have an Omega Juicer which is great but also very time consuming, absorbs nutrients and the total amount of food used/level of other ingredients varies widely between the two methods and both are useful in their own way, but this blender cooks very…

I love this blender

I love this blender! My old blender was a very good Cuisinart but didn't work well with smoothies. I would chop up any hard foods like carrots, ginger roots, etc. for him. I also add frozen foods like frozen bananas, blueberries, or strawberries to my smoothies. An old blender will work hard, you can hear that. I was afraid it would end up burning and the smoothies came out with small chunks of tougher veggies. With this vitamin, I don't even have to cut much. I'll probably break a carrot in…

Has Vitamix tried to cut costs and stay the same?

Hmm I had a black 5200 about 7 years ago. My ex still has it so I bought it off Amazon. I've only used it once so far so I'll update this post after a few more uses, but I have to say that something has changed. Works fine but I'm worried something has changed since I remember my other block was stronger than this one. Also, the platter is definitely a different component as it's not as smooth. It feels a bit restrictive and the finish is absolutely not how I remember it. My old dial turned…

Great car! fits blender

I am addicted to smoothies - in fact my whole family is addicted and spend the equivalent of a Ventilatte for 3 at our local smoothie shop several times a week. One of my best college friends told me about the Vitamix and I never really thought about it since they were around $450 at the time. But ever since my family's obsession with smoothies cost us four figures over the course of about 6-8 months, I've thought about Vitamix again, especially since they're used in our smoothie shop. And…

It's not a blender, it's our way of life

It's not just a blender. You have to tell yourself that to actually spend money on any of these things. I know there's an age old debate about Vitamix and Blendtech, but I've never tried Blendtech because our Vitamix has been the workhorse of many years of everyday use and it still works! My parents had it, everyone in my family has it, and they all love it as much as we do. I think it's like Ford vs Chevy. ;) Anyway, I'll be short and sweet. Our 3 year old son has autism and severe sensory…
