Got the first carburetor, replaced and . Nothing. Engine won't start - fiddled with the carburetor, confirmed fuel was added to the fuel tank, but couldn't get it to squeeze the throttle on the engine intake. I figured it might be that I had a bad carb, so I ordered a second one, replaced it with the first one, and the engine started right away. So the bottom line is, what worked worked well. maybe I just caught one in a thousand that didn't work, or maybe it's the most systematic. Also - the holes in the carburetor for mounting the air filter were not lined up exactly - I had to re-drill the mounting hole in the air filter bracket and use shorter screws, not larger ones. If the first one worked I would give it 4 stars. Considering that OEM carburetors are no longer available I would suggest trying one - the worst that can happen is you might have to buy a second one, but for under $30 the cost of two are still much lower than the OEM price, which was more than $100.
