A potential accuracy issue may have just occurred. It was a mistake on my part, but I just checked the accuracy of this laser level. I placed the plane 3 feet from a 5 foot wide wall and checked the height of the laser line. Since one end was the reference, the other end of the beam was 1/8 inch (3mm) lower. It seems quite significant with such a narrow field of view. The device was mounted on a tripod on a sturdy tiled floor and two different 4 inch planes were used to confirm the reference. My return window expired 3 days ago. Aside from just messing around with the laser, it worked well except chewing through the battery pack a little quicker than I expected. I noticed the product page. now it says currently unavailable. Now I use it more to align things that don't require absolute precision. It works well enough to bring things closer together and when needed I know what to do to regain that finesse. It's still an affordable price and the green laser really helps. It drains batteries faster than I would like, but I solved this problem with some rechargeable batteries. The manufacturer responds very quickly to technical questions.
