Review on Stay Hydrated on-the-go with CamelBak Rogue Hydration Pack, 85oz! by James Richardson

This is my fourth Camelbak moisturizing wrap. I liked my other three for mountain biking, they were MULE sizes 3L. The first was replaced with a Camelbak under warranty and the second broke in an accident. I still have a MULE backpack for mountain biking, but I also need a smaller backpack for gravel trips. The 3L tank is too big and bulky, plus I need access to jersey pockets which MULE doesn't allow. The Rogue fits great on the back, gives access to jersey pockets, has extra storage compartments and can carry enough water that I need. Plus, the new Crux reservoir delivers plenty of water with every sip. There are two things I don't like about this pack. First, the siphon tube is not removable from the tank, making cleaning and venting the tank more difficult than other Camelbak designed tanks. Camelbak just saved money by shipping this Crux tank without the removable siphon. Second, the tank is only held in place by a rubber strap, which makes the backpack feel cheap. Instead of an elastic band, like my other packs, it should have a zippered pocket for storage and tank access. It is very difficult to put a filled tank in a small hole. You'll have to twist and squeeze the tank to make it fit. To put it mildly, annoying. Without those two complaints, this package would be perfect.
