Review on πŸ”’ Securely Mount Your Dishwasher with Granite Grabbers Dishwasher Mounting Brackets by Jaie Bobin

Not good. Do not buy. This whole structure just doesn't work.

Bought because they lagged along with the original granite handles that people had put on the countertop and which failed a couple of times. I've also lost tiny screws that are hard to find in local stores. So I decided to buy a new set with new screws. This is a flat piece of extruded aluminum with #6 threads and VHB tape on the back to stick to the bottom of the rack. The problem is that the part is threaded for a #6 self-tapping screw, but the screws that come with it are actually metric - slightly smaller than the screw that fits the threads. So they removed the piece before things got tight. Absolutely uncomfortable. - Try bending it a bit to fit the nut between the piece and the tabletop. broken part. VHB tape, which sticks to almost anything (we've used it in glazing all along), doesn't stick well to the unpolished, rough underside of granite. As I work for an aluminum subcontractor, I simply made a 1/4" aluminum rod across the entire DW width, drilled and tapped some holes (#8 this time, which is a larger diameter screw), VHB tape used throughout (two rows). Solid rock now.
