I turned on the lights before I began installing them, so I could see if anything goes wrong. I installed the lights with screw in plastic cable clamps. These don't crimp the wire. They were installed about 36" apart to help keep the cable straight. I still had to stretch it a little to keep it straight. I put in the last cable clamp and the lights in front of me went off. I looked around the room and found the last 20 feet or so were off. The rest were working. The failure occurred at a manufacturers connection in the string (heat shrink type). Fortunately, I was able to play with the last several clamps and was able to get them working again.Thankfully, this is an inside installation, so the wind won't stretch them and make the issue worse. They continue to work, so long as they are not bumped or touched near the end.I thought the remote was cool at first. I have always been a "gear head" when it comes to electronics and their remotes. However, I find this remote to be limited in how it operates the lights, even with "all those buttons".I still have another string that I will install outside, with the clamps closer together. Hopefully I won't have an issue with that string.
