Review on πŸ–¨οΈ High-Quality Black Printer Filament by MG Chemicals by Brant Skogen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Whether this is good or bad depends on the operator and printer

Environment==========Ultimaker S5 with generic PLA profile in Ultimaker Cura Southeast Texas goes from Hard Freeze to 70 +% RH at 80 degrees during large print (full plate, 34 hours). Rating==========Dimensional accuracy maybe not the best. I would estimate somewhere between 0.03mm and 0.05mm; Print layers are obvious without closer inspection. The adhesion of the layers is good, the adhesion of the panels with PVA (glue stick) is optimal. It absorbs moisture faster than most PLAs, so I had to store mine in a heated dry box for the duration of the print. Failure to do so would result in tearing along the printed seams and bending angles of less than 120 degrees. Interesting chemistry; it is more resistant to polyurethane than regular PLA. Excellent grinding and polishing. Conclusion ========== If you want near-seamless quality in your first print with 2.85mm filament, choose Ultimaker, Polymaker or Lulzbot. But if you process it after printing, your costs will be significantly reduced in any case. And at this price I really can't say it requires work, which I would do anyway.
