Review on Richard Simmons EST7 Electronic Food Steamer with Steam-Heat Technology by Carlos Alston

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality steamer

Great product. I gave mine away and had to buy a new one. Three compartments for steaming - everything is ready at once, and different compartments do not contaminate each other (as happens with stacked bamboo models). It's also dishwasher safe, which I'd recommend as there are plenty of washable parts that fill the entire top shelf of the dishwasher: 3 bins, 3 lids, a tray for holders and 3 plastic rings - a bit much to hand wash, but not impossible. Great for steaming seafood: I have steamed marinated salmon (16 minutes), lobster tails (10-12 minutes), clams/mussels, corn on the cob (55 minutes; both are soft and tender), rice (with special rice holder included) , poached/boiled eggs (eggs stand in slots), baby carrots (35 mins), chopped potatoes (25 mins; great for potato salad, later when it's cold etc.), mixed vegetables. Ideal for preparing all side dishes for dinner while meat is being prepared in other ways (e.g. roast beef in a slow cooker, etc.). It is convenient to have two automated cooking systems, such as B. those who cook all dishes.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • I'm nervous
