American Quality Tools Highly Recommended

Stanley Proto Torque Wrench Set #J5100 Well made and works as intended. Proto usually offers quality American instruments and this is no exception. The keyholes are lobed so they turn to the sides of the fasteners rather than rounding them. The only thing I would say is that the finish on the back buttons has some minor chrome imperfections so I would rate the finish a 90% instead of the 98-100% I usually get from the SK and Snap On. However, this set is more complete than the snap-on set as a five piece set from 5/16" to 9/16" sells at a higher price than this 9 piece set from 3/8" to 7/ 8th". . no size differences. The storage rod is very handy and is designed as a 3/8" drive rod with spring balls at each end. The wrenches won't fall out, but they are relatively easy to remove if you do it on purpose. I stress that the defects in the chrome plating are very are small and appear on the back of the keys so all markings on the front remain clear and this does not affect the function of the key in any way This is acceptable for a wrench but would not be acceptable if I found it in an accessory which I bought for my cruiser. I would highly recommend these torque wrenches to anyone who wants a quality American made set that includes all sizes from 3/8" to 7/8". Most vendors skip some sizes in this range, as if they know you will never need these sizes.tra to buy other sizes and then the storage strip may not be long enough to accommodate the additional sizes you have purchased. With this proto kit you don't have these problems. Buy with confidence. I am very happy with my purchase.
