I had 4 tanks that I wanted to convert from siphon spillways to true spillways due to noise and fear of flooding. So happy I bought them. Installation was easy. I took the time to measure and mark the gap so that the top of the overflow is only 1/2" from the top of the tank. My water level is obscured by the black border on the tanks, so I'm on can work at the minimum or maximum level.flow.Adjusting the siphon is key to keeping the system quiet so I can talk on the phone in my fish room and enjoy the ambiance in peace.I was able to use the same bait for all 4 tanks and sold the rest to make some of my money my daughters had a water spray bottle to make sure the bit stays cool while drilling let the bit do its job and make sure you when you're drilling with full tanks , like me, drain a good amount of water under the hole you're drilling to relieve pressure and prevent water from escaping, but I believe in 1/4-1/2 turns past the handfe Tighten most to ensure there are no leaks. Be sure to use the fittings in your plumbing for ease of maintenance. We recommend this overflow.
