This could work great on a frameless tank but I have a glass framed Aqueon brand 75 gallon tank that I tried to drill out for this spill box and if I don't somehow change the lip on the inside , the waterline will fall below the visible edge of the tank. Not cool! This fits pretty well although it came with a small cosmetic change. I had a hard time finding much information about this overflow so I was a pioneer and now I will leave some information for those of you who are in the same boat. The overflow itself is solid, beautiful and stylish on any aquarium. Also very quiet when set up with a valve on the main inlet. It has a reserve riser for emergencies, which is also handy if the first tube suddenly stops. Overall it was a good product if you can avoid the shortcomings described here. The drill was fine. Drilling wasn't difficult. Getting the hole in the right spot wasn't easy because if you haven't done it before you don't know how far the water on the tank box will go. I thought I knew where it would be but found I was about 3/8 inch off. The water level was much higher than I thought.
