This is a great product at a reasonable price. They are made of solid brass rather than brass plated steel and therefore require some understanding of their application and installation. Brass is soft, so it's time to reacquaint yourself with your hand tools if you don't have experience with the equivalent power tool. In medium to hard woods, pilot drilling is required and torque must be kept to a minimum. These screws are well machined and consistent in their manufacture. I have used them to restore open style park benches. They should not be used in connections subject to high shear or stress. For such applications it is better to use a steel coated screw. I have been making fine furniture for 60 years and trained by a European master.
