It's so convenient it's great for separating fat and liquid. I've had others before, but this wonderful design works so much better! ***** Addendum to original review 08/27/2020 I still really like this divider, it does its job well but buyers should be aware that the metal spring behind the handle is very sharp. I separated the fat from the broth, although my hands were clean, but they were a little slippery and hit the edge of the metal, slicing my finger. It would be nice if the manufacturer paid more attention to the processing details when there is metal in the product.
