These are pretty decent binoculars for the price, really excellent. I've been using a Bushnell pair of similar specs for a few months now and have no regrets buying this pair from the more expensive brand. I've used it on a couple of trips, one of which was stargazing, and it's performed quite impressively, on par with the more well-known brand; also took him on a trip to some parks and was able to observe both distant nature and wildlife very well. Reason for 4 stars: - The quality of the lenses is decent, except for a slight distortion seen on distant objects (z edge of the picture) - I took it on a trip and got caught in a violent sandstorm, after which I had the impression that some small grains of sand had penetrated and settled. in the assembly so that the seal does not appear 100%. Otherwise I would buy it again and would recommend if in doubt about spending $30 on this or $60 or more for a premium brand. Go for this one :)
