Fantastic shears that never fail

I have had a pair of these knives for a number of years now. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that our plastic shell is orange instead of black. In the beginning I used them as pruning shears in my garden and obviously lost them but didn't notice. I couldn't find them for about a year, but found them one day while we were cultivating part of our muddy, rocky garden. I was very disappointed to find them like this because I really liked them and now they were obviously spoiled. Later, when I took them inside and washed them, they actually felt a lot better than I expected. After a little cleaning and prolonged use of the built in sharpener I basically had scissors again that worked like new. The metal on the inside of one of the blades has been damaged, but this appears to be purely cosmetic. Crazy about something that's been buried in the mud for a year and pulled out by the cutter teeth. To this day they still work great but I finally decided to get another pair just to have a prettier pair to keep in my main tool box. Just yesterday with their help we cut balsa wing ribs and cut spruce wing spars for a RC airplane because we were too lazy to go with anything else. I use these as electricians often cut both AC and Category 6 wire, and have occasionally cut very thin steel wire (like bike brake wire or slightly larger, but admittedly this probably isn't the best idea (sleeve).

Pros
  • Craft supplies
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Not impressed, but at least they're inexpensive

Heavier duty than typical Fiskars scissors, but not indestructable
