UPDATE: Still strong after 2 years! My friend lost his cup, grr, but the friend is treated separately. Exactly what I needed! Prepares the perfect cup of coffee from ordinary coffee grounds. Also used these soft pods (not Keurig style) but I haven't tried them. The filter and basket are easy to remove and easy to clean with a quick rinse. The plastic cup is thick and sturdy, hasn't leaked yet and keeps my drink warm for at least an hour. Note that I was initially confused that I had to leave the cup's lid on when the coffee was brewing and dripping into the cup. The first time I cooked with the lid open. Well, both methods work well. I've found I like to put the cream in and then brew with the lid on so I can just grab the mug and head for the door. For a full cup there is a clear line for water. You have to top up the water each time with fresh water (the reservoir only holds one cup), but this can be done the night before if you prefer. with every coffee maker. I fill the filter a little less than halfway and it turns out a very strong cup of pre-ground Starbucks coffee. When the water and coffee grounds are in place, it's literally the easiest coffee ever - one push of a button! Click on it, the light will turn on and the light will turn off when finished. So easy! I haven't tried other cups but I see no reason why they wouldn't work provided they aren't too wide or tall. Please note that the base on which the mug stands does not come off. It's made of plastic and built in. The bottom plate is also NOT a "warmer" as the mug can burn.
