Today I received 2 sets and laid them out in the interior of the living room. You look great. They're just as bright as typical "mini lights" but a lot less bulky, and they also have a 4-step dimmer. The 16 color variations of these sets are worth exploring. We originally planned to have a red and a green; but currently one set is red color and the other is light blue, which looks very cool. I found a color combination by accident. We flipped through the TV channels and found the lights went out. Apparently the TV remote also changes the lighting settings! I taped them tight and then foil wrapped the remote USB sensors (shiny side out) to prevent accidental changes. Haven't figured out the flicker/fade patterns look complete yet, but some look ok. I prefer fixed or slow fades but haven't figured out how to get both TVs to do the same thing at the same time. Hopefully frequency won't be too important. I've found that when I turn off the TV the lights don't retain their last color/flash setting so they have to be left on repeatedly every day or just stay on all the time.
