The carburetor was connected to a standard Chevrolet electric fuel pump via a Mallory 4309 heavy duty fuel pressure regulator and fuel leaked out of the carburetor into the intake and then into the engine oil. The carburettor has been replaced with another Edelbrock 600 CFM that was in another running car and the fuel pressure regulator works perfectly. My guess is that the float in the new carburetor isn't working, or the needle valve isn't set properly. I have used several Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetors successfully so I bought this one. To make matters worse, I didn't discover it until 30 days had passed to return the item due to the weather conditions over the weekend when I was supposed to be working on the car. I guess I'm stuck trying to fix the carbs myself.
