The receiver screen was cracked when I received this item. I called the number provided and was pleasantly surprised to find that they stick to their profession of excellent customer service as the young man I spoke to said he would send another thermometer and didn't bother to return the damaged instrument. When I received a new thermometer I gave the damaged one to a relative as it worked even though it had a cracked screen. The problem started in earnest when I got a replacement. First, the probes indicated that the device was a display or returned device. The probes were unkempt and twisted like on a loaf of bread instead of the nice built in plastic mount that the first probes had. Then I got error codes no matter how many ways I tried to get it to work. So I called this number again, gave the same information, but this time I was told that the first young man shouldn't help me as they weren't the company that had filled my order. I called the number on the warranty card. After going back and forth I decided it wasn't worth the disappointment and determined that if I decided to use my smoker again I would get a thermometer from someone who would genuinely advocate for their products.
