Fujinon IS KILL Canon IS!

I got a pair of Fujinon 14x40 Techno-Stabi binoculars and have never tried them in the past because I've always heard that the Canon IS system is better for bird watching. Well, don't believe the rumours, the Fujinon's IS outperforms the Canon's mainly because it doesn't soften when you press the IS button like the Canon does. If you compare the Fujinon IS to the Canon IS system, and I used the Canon 12x36 IS III and the Canon 18x50 IS to compare, you will find that the Canon image is softer compared to the Fujinon, but so is its resolution maintained in the on state. The Fujinon IS is also more stable than the Canon IS, almost stable, while the Canon IS shakes and moves a lot more. For this reason I preferred Fujinon. Also, Fujinon has a lot less CA than Canon and this is very noticeable when trying to read black letters on a white sign. Canon obviously has CA around the letters, but Fujinon is much cleaner. Fujinon must use some kind of ED glass. I don't like the square "brick" shape of some IS binoculars like the Canon 10x42 IS-L and this Fujinon because they are difficult to hold compared to regular binoculars, but the Fujinon had a good idea a carry strap to attach. on the side of the binoculars because you can put your hand in and hold the binoculars with one hand. This makes heavy square IS binoculars acceptable. Fujinon weighs 44 ounces. but it's only 4 oz. heavier than the Canon 10x42 IS-L and uses 4 AA batteries. Here is the infamous Ken Rockwell's review of the Fujinon 14x40 Techno-Stabi binoculars. The Fujinon also comes with a nice Pelican case, so it's a pretty good deal. Looks like a Canon 10x42 IS-L right?
