I've been looking for the right cold weather/winter cycling jacket for a long time. After spending a few days researching different brands, I settled on the Pearl Izumi jacket based on the following factors: 1) It looked great 2) Lots of great reviews 3) Reviews of how windproof/warm the jacket is was 4) Reasonable price compared to quality as I put it on today I checked it out. It was a busy day with high winds and actual temperatures just under 40°F. Here are my results: COMPLIANCE: This is about as comfortable as it gets. This jacket fits very well and is actually more comfortable than many of my expensive non-racing winter jackets. FEEL: Fits my body perfectly. As promised, this jacket offers good wind protection. With a base layer and a jacket I was warm enough. After a while it got really hot. In short, it looks like it's worth something. ETC: Good strong zips, large back pocket and I also liked the front zip. The jacket is also quite light. For reference, I'm 6'0" and 175 pounds. Based on what people have said here, I went for the large. It fits perfectly. Not too long in the front, not too short. The sleeves were also spot on. Bottom line: if you are looking for a durable cold weather cycling jacket this is the best you can get. It really is worth every penny you pay for it. I love the fit, the look, the feel and. I am very happy with my purchase.I have a lot of experience with Pearl Izumi products and am glad I trusted my intuition and chose this jacket.
