Review on 🍳 Oster Digital Air Fryer Oven with RapidCrisp: Ultimate 12-Function Stainless Steel Countertop Oven by Mike Roe

So I've been using this thing a lot since I've had it. Loving so much especially how quickly it heats up and doesn't heat up my whole house. It's compact for what it can hold (holds a 10-inch frozen pizza!). It also looks very nice and doesn't give me the irritated eyes I feared from sitting on the countertop. It only smelled the first few times I used it. , no more strange smells afterwards. I have a few issues that make me waver between 3 and 4 stars. 1) The cable is unbearably short with only 2 pins. 2) The timer is a pain in the ass. Before the 30 minute mark, it increases by one minute and then by 5 minutes. So if you want to do 37 minutes, it's not. It is impossible. Even if you want to add more time, it is always rounded up to the next full minute first. In addition, it must not exceed 90 minutes for the baking settings. However, you will be forced to enter the time. So for something that takes 2 hours you're out of luck. The best thing you can do is set it to 90, come back when it rings and set it to 30 more in the dumbest place for it. 3) There are no instructions. I couldn't tell from the diagram where the crumb tray went and tried placing it over the heating element, thinking it was to keep things from falling onto the coils and burning/sticking. I was wrong, and it doesn't say anywhere exactly where the crumb tray goes (FYI it's at the very bottom, UNDER the heating element, good luck getting it out without emptying all the crumbs). When I first used the oven the heating element burned the crumb tray quite badly as you can see in the picture. I contacted customer service but never got a response from them. 4) Yes, the glass door is heated. I've burned the backs of my fingers twice when closing because they deviated from the handle and hit the glass. Yes I know toasters get very hot but they are so close to the handle that it is very easy to hit them. In fact, the entire front panel gets so hot that when I tried to increase the baking time, the buttons on the timer were too hot to push. I can't imagine that this is very good for the electronics in the long run. But time will tell. I love this thing enough to overlook its issues, but it was really close between 3 and 4.
