I previously had a similar plastic mirror attached to the ends of the handlebars. It uses wedges that come together to fit snugly into the handlebar tube. This was easier to install as the wedges didn't try to rotate around the screw. It has a compression fitting that goes all the way around, so you have to force it somehow so it grips the inside of the stem before you can over-tighten it, otherwise it's all about the bolt. I hand tightened it until I could barely insert it. However, after installation, the quality became much better. The mirror and metal mounts appear to be of higher quality and have a sharper image and slightly lower profile. The only thing I would like to change is an improved pressure fitting system, like splines that don't rotate with the propeller. .
