Fit is a bit trickier than some but looks and quality are much better

I previously had a similar plastic mirror attached to the ends of the handlebars. It uses wedges that come together to fit snugly into the handlebar tube. This was easier to install as the wedges didn't try to rotate around the screw. It has a compression fitting that goes all the way around, so you have to force it somehow so it grips the inside of the stem before you can over-tighten it, otherwise it's all about the bolt. I hand tightened it until I could barely insert it. However, after…

Solid Metal Expansion Plug/ Good Size/ Convex

There are many barred rear view mirrors available online - all very similar to the Pacearth end mirrors discussed here. But they are characterized by the minimal use of plastic. The expansion dowels are made of aluminum and hold the inside of the handlebars in place. That's the main reason I bought them. Other mirrors have plastic caps on the end of the rod, and I don't think the plastic can stick as well as the metal caps. left mirror and right mirror. You can reconfigure each mirror to be…

difficult conditions. not cheap plastic.

I would give it 5 stars apart from some tightening issues. Two things to know: 1.) Some say they don't fit their handlebars, which may be true. I started thinking the same thing. Until I realized that when tightening the expansion screw with the included Allen wrench, the expansion screw also turned, preventing it from expanding. So I just applied some force when tightening, and it began to expand and tighten quite securely into my Schwinn Fremont handlebars. 2.) The last adjustment will most…

They work very well.

I like mirrors, I can see who is behind me. The convex surface has a high-quality visual effect and is real glass, not metal. Cleans up well, no distortion in the view except for the "Objects are smaller than they appear" type, which is what I wanted. I have a good wide field of vision. It is attached by inserting an expanding wedge into the handlebar. When you tighten the machine screw (which spreads the inserted wedge), you actually have to tighten it. I was afraid that I might have widened…

I have really mixed feelings.

I liked the look when I saw it here. now that they are installed, I like both the look and the function again. come to this point. not as much. I didn't want the mirrors to be plastic and look crappy. They are definitely NOT plastic and they don't look crappy. the clamp that holds the knot at the end of the handlebars leaves a lot to be desired. There are a few things you should know before you jump in and buy. First, they include a pair of Allen keys to install them. They're pretty much…

Good first impression, then not so good

I can return these but will still describe how they look to me. First impressions are solid: the main parts are aluminum, drilled and tapped for the screws that hold everything together. The locking mechanism for the handlebars consists of aluminium, two concentrically slotted conical shells, with a 5 mm steel screw and a lock nut. Big mirror. not yet satisfied with what I could do. The threaded parts are of mediocre quality and accuracy and do not rotate freely from one part to another. As…
